openEHR and HL7 International announcement

INTEROPen are delighted that HL7 International and openEHR International have informed their collective communities that they are jointly considering aligning some of their standards and specifications for the good of all across the globe
We have always recognised that openEHR and HL7 FHIR are complementary and INTEROPen has had representatives from openEHR UK and HL7 UK on its Board.
We believe that If successful, this proposal can only be beneficial to the Health and Social Care Informatics and IT communities in the UK and we should join together to try to make this work.
